We all know one of the most convenient ways to keep the cleaning to a minimum during a BBQ is to have disposable plates and cutlery, but all of these disposable items can cause unnecessary waste. Here are some quick tips on how to make your 4th of July BBQ more environmentally friendly. #LitterIsNotInvited

1. Separate Disposables

Designate separate bags for plastic, aluminum, glass, and waste for easier recycling.

2. Use The Same Cup

Encourage your guests to use the same cup. Make it fun, give everyone a chance to write a fun name on their cup so they won’t lose it.

3. Recycle Your Charcoal

If you used additive-free charcoal, you can use the charcoal ash to fertilize your plants. The ash contains potash, an important nutrient for some plants.
